Accessing Mental Health Support Through the WDO Program

At Logic Lounge, we recognise that financial stress, mental health challenges, and life pressures often overlap. To support individuals navigating these difficulties, we have registered psychologists who deliver services that can be counted toward a Work and Development Order (WDO).

Our clinic provides a safe and supportive setting where eligible clients can access mental health treatment while also working toward reducing their fines in a structured and meaningful way.

What is a Work and Development Order (WDO)?

A Work and Development Order is a program that allows eligible people to reduce outstanding fines by participating in approved activities. Mental health treatment, for instance, including psychological therapy, is one of the recognised activities under this program.

A WDO may be available to individuals who experience circumstances such as financial hardship, mental health concerns, homelessness, cognitive impairment, or other qualifying conditions.

How Logic Lounge Can Help

Logic Lounge provides access to psychologists who are approved to deliver WDO-eligible mental health services. Through these sessions, clients can:

  • Engage in psychological therapy

  • Work collaboratively on treatment goals

  • Receive structured and evidence-based support

  • Have their attendance recorded and reported appropriately for the WDO program

Who May Be Eligible?

The WDO program is generally available to people who meet criteria such as:

  • Significant financial hardship

  • Mental health conditions

  • Cognitive impairment or intellectual disability

  • Substance-use concerns

  • Homelessness or unstable accommodation

  • Being under the age of 18

Eligibility is determined through the WDO program’s assessment process. For information about eligibility and application requirements, please refer to the NSW Government’s Work and Development Order page.

Accessing WDO Services at Logic Lounge

If you are interested in receiving psychological support under a WDO, our team can:

  • Provide information about how the WDO program works

  • Clarify whether our services are suitable for your needs

  • Explain how WDO-related reporting is completed

  • Support you in getting connected with an eligible psychologist

A GP referral is not required to commence the WDO process. However, clients who wish to claim rebates for their standard therapy sessions may do so through a Mental Health Treatment Plan. The WDO sessions are considered supplementary and are provided in addition to regular sessions.
